Flattering though it may be, at least as far as my minimal contribution to the book goes, I was shocked to see Hummingbirds: A Life-Size Guide to Every Species included in a list of field guides. This book illustrates less than 80% of the world’s hummingbird species, the rest (including extinct species) being covered in text only.
